Peddlers Village Scarecrow Festival

The official Scarecrow Festival has been cancelled this year BUT you can still visit Peddlers Village and vote for your favorite home-built scarecrow from 9/9 though 10/31.

Even though the scarecrows will be created at home this year this will mark the 41^st celebration of Scarecrows in the Village. This display visitors from around the world. For seven fun-filled weeks, scores of scarecrows grace the winding pathways of the sweeping, autumn-tinted Village property. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are meant to be scary – but all of them are carefully handmade and contributed by Philly-area residents and organizations.

This years categories are:

• Quite the Character
• Thrills with Chills
• Myth and Lore
• Pink Out!
• Kids Only

Winners receive:

1^st Place: $500

2^nd Place: $250

3^rd Place: $150

4^th Place: $100

(2) Honorable Mentions: $50

Kids Only winners will receive:

1^st Place: 4 Activity passes, 1 Pizza, 4 refillable soft drinks

2^nd Place: 4 Activity passes, 4 pizza slices, 500 prize tickets

3^rd place: 2 activity passes, 1000 prize tickets

Grand Prize: One overall winner will be picked out of the entries to be displayed in a special viewing area. This scarecrow will be judged on overall creativity, craftmanship, adherence to the category theme and wow factor. PRIZE: $350 Dinner for 4 at Cock ‘n’ Bull and complimentary haircuts for a family of up to 5 people at the David J. Witchell Salon and Spa!

Voting

You can vote for your favorite from 9/9 through 10/12. Ballots are available at all shops and restaurants. You can drop your ballot at ballot boxes located throughout the village. If you prefer you can vote via the Peddlers Village Mobile app.
